Preschools in Kowloon

Hi everyone,
We are considering moving to a new apartment and Kowloon West is one of the possible areas. However after doing some research I found out that the choice of preschools/ nurseries there is quite limited. I called PIPS, Learning Habitat and Victoria, all three only admit to Nursery at 2 years old, have long waiting list and need a child to go alone 5 times/ week for 3 hours, something I am not prepared for. Are there any othere preschools in the vicinity?

i have quite a few kids come to me who then go onto nursery after they are 2-3 years old, depending on what the parents are looking for. my classes are all accompanied by parents, helpers or grandparents. it is up to the parents how often the children come.

so, there are other options out there...

also, be aware that as with many other kindergartens out there, the three you mentioned have interviews etc and many kids do not get accepted.
 
We would be looking at buildings near Kowloon Station such as The Waterfront, Sorrento, The Arch etc etc. Besides that I do not know much about the area :)
 
Hi Geomum, I'm at Sorrento and just went to check out PIPS Kowloon. Likely to send my baby there, cos for playgroup/kindergarten, would prefer her to go to one that's closer to home. PIPS Kowloon is literally downstairs from where we live.
 
Obiwan I do not want to send my daughter to Nursery unaccompanied for 3 hrs/ day, 5 days a week and thats what PIPS offers for 2 year olds.
 
what are you looking for? are you looking for a playgroup in which you accompany your little one? or are you looking for something they go to by themselves for a shorter amount of time?

how old is your daughter exactly?
 
My daughter is 21 months old and I am looking for a preschool where she can go with me or helper twice or thrice a week. I think 2 yrs is too young to send her alone especially since she would be new to the school.
 
then you'll really have to look for playgroups rather than pre-schools. pre-schools/nursery are generally all 5X per week and unaccompanied.

you will probably be able to find a few playgroups in your area.
