I just moved to Hong Kong with my husband and my 2 years old Japanese girl a few weeks ago. I'm now looking into the nursery class of Highgate House School or other kidergartens. Any recommendation for that?

Thank you very much!

Highgate is a good school.

Also heard there's a Japanese kindergarten in North Point.

Thank you so much!
I am now deciding to let my girl to get into the international schools other than the japanese schools. Because I want her to have good English skills. And she can use japanese when we have Japanese gatherings. Can you tell me more about Highgate House School? Where do the students there mainly come from?

Thx again!

Do you mean Hong Kong Japanese School(Tai Po)? But I heard that only the students of HKJS(Englishl Section) speak fluent English. The students of Japanese Section speak English badly. And we're living in Happy Valley. Attending a school in New Territories is so unconvenient.

Hi Rani,

May i know where is Highgate? We be moving to Sai Wan Ho area, and in midst of looking for a school for my 2yr old girl too. Hopefully the school has English as the main stream of Language.

I appreciate if you could help!

tks

Hi Ayumi san,

I sent my 2 years old to the highgate house school for 2 weeks during summer camps. She seems to enjoy playing over there. Since we are living in Pok Fu Lam, I chose to send her different nursery, but I like the atmospher they created in the school and I am also glad to have this oppotunity to introduce her to the first school experience without mummy.

Even my 2 years old brought a little tiny bread back home which she made at the school and she was very prode herself.

They will close for summer vacation from next week, and start again in September. Check it out.:burnout:

Ayumi,

Highgate is a good school. Have heard good reviews. It is difficult to get into. I think they have a waiting list. Other schools at the Peak are Woodlands and Sunshine Int'l.
