Boys do take longer and as long as they're introduced to it, little by little they'll grow used to it. My son is 3 now and is OK with peeing but the pooing is still not there yet. He insists on pooing in a nappy. I haven't been too harsh as I know my son doesn't like being 'forced' to do something he doesn't like so I don't want to make it a bad experience for him. This said, I will try to have him totally trained by the end of this summer as he's starting kindy in Sept. I like the ice cream idea coz mummy can join in on the celebrations!
