portable toilet seat pad?

Do they work well generally? And if so, which brand are you using and where did you buy it?

I was wondering as well that once you potty train your toddler what do you do when you are out and about?? Not every toilet has a seat sanitizer and neither are they very clean always.
 
We use an older version of this that doesn't fit on the toilet seat also. I will be upgrading the to new version when I travel to the UK this month. The normal folding potty works very well, but you need to make sure the base clicks into place properly first. And it is a life saver when there are no toilets, clean or otherwise nearby!

I used the Cushie one (got it in the States) and it worked well for us. It didn't fit on every seat, but worked for most seats since HK public toilets tend to be smaller. just be careful the joints don't pinch your kiddo's bum!
 
I have both the Potette and the Primo but found that neither were ideal. I have a 3 yo boy and the Potette is much too small for his bottom resulting in a big mess! The Primo was better, but he found it a bit wobbly and felt insecure on many toilets as quite a few now have a more elongated, modern shape. Now I just carry the potty toppers (which I bought in Canada) or if I have none then I use Milton wipes to clean the loo and line with paper and I hold onto him for dear life!!
 
I used this exact product but my son didn't like going in public toilets because he was terrified of the hand dryers, so it didn't get much use. I'm hoping it will be more useful for son #2! I bought it from eBay in Canada along with a padded step stool thing for the toilet ([ame=http://www.amazon.com/Mommys-Helper-Contoured-Cushie-Step/dp/B000AV5LZ8/ref=pd_sim_ba_1]Amazon.com: Mommy's Helper Contoured Cushie Step Up: Baby[/ame]) which I needed as our toilets at home are a stupid elongated shape and none of the normal products fit them. Both products have worked well.
 
can i ask which seat we are talking about above that's being sold at Mothercare? this might be silly question too, but how do you carry it around? does it come with a travel case or do you just put in a plastic bag that can be thrown away afterwards?
 
I've definitely seen the Potette at Mothercare and I thought that I saw the cushioned folding potty seat there too. (Might want to call first to check.)

The Potette only comes with a plastic bag to carry it in. I just put the seat into a regular plastic bag and then throw it away afterwards.
 
alternatively, instead of carrying around a toilet seat, i carry with me a small bottle of sanitizer instead, much easier to fit into the bag. I wipe the toilet seat, then spray the sanitizer and wipe again. I'd want her to get use to public toilet instead of always lounging around a toilet seat. Read somewhere we shouldnt be getting the idea of public toilet being "too dirty" to use in case they develop a fear of public toilets (sans the portable seat) in future and refuse to go!
