Port-a-cot Hire?

Hi,

We're moving to Discovery Bay, Hong Kong (from NZ) next month and we'd like to hire a port-a-cot for a few months until our shipment arrives with our 15month old's cot. I've searched the internet and can't seem to locate any retailer in Hong Kong that hires baby equipment. I already own a port-a-cot but it's heavy (15kgs) and will take us well over our aircraft luggage limit. Keen to avoid taking it on the plane if I can.

Any suggestions on where the hubby could get one (he's already over in HK)?

The YWCA rents baby equipment but its in Mid-Levels.

If you're in DB, there's loads of 2nd hand baby stuff for sale. It might be easier and cheaper to buy a 2nd hand one and you can sell it once your shipment arrives. Have a look at this site.

Or, you may check with the airline to see if you'd get extra baggage allowance for yours. I seem to remember we did when flying to the US.
