Dear Moms, Moms-to-be,

Any advice on these?

1. Where to get Playtex bottles and liners? I checked Babies-R-Us and was told they only sell the nipples :(

2. Where can I get Pampers Swaddlers? Don't see them in Supermarket of Mannings for some reason.

3. Which moisturiser do you like for baby's face?

4. Where can I get Noppy nursing pillow in HK?

Thank you very much in advance!

1. I don`t know as I never use bottles.

2. They should have swaddlers at ParknShop - even the local ones.

3. I use a Canadian brand called Aveeno, but unfortunately, you cannot get it here.

4. Sorry, never heard of Noppy. Do you mean Boppy?

1. You may want to check the baby section of Wing On department store. I thought I saw some Playtex bottles.
2. Swaddlers are available in Parknshop, Wellcome and bumps to babes.
3.I use Lubriderm for her face. It helps with her facial rashes.
4. Boppy pillows are available in Eugene Club next to H and M

Good luck!

Thank you very much Sherwes, Shenzhennifer, musicalmama!

2. I just discovered the ParknShop online (thanks to you girls) and indeed they have Pampers Swaddlers, yay!! Do you use these for day time as well?
3. I bought a small bottle of Mustela Hydra Bebe for the face, not sure if it's any good though.
4. Will check out Eugene Club for Boppy. Anyone tried this nursing pillow? Good?

I made a round at Ocean Terminal this evening, but no luck with bottle liners .. the search is still on ....

Btw, you can get Aveeno in HK. They sell it at HealthQuest at the basement of Time Square. Much more expensive than the States though :(

obiwan - i use playtex but i bought them in the states. i have tried to look for them here but they rarely have them in stock. if you are from the states, you might want to ask someone to send it. target has their store brand of liners that fit playtex bottles also. or you can order from amazon.

Thank you. I have 2 boxes of 50 from Target at the moment, hopefully this will last me til Xmas when I get to replenish :) Haven't tried Amazon yet, do you know if it's more expensive or just the additional cost of shipping?

They have Aveeno here?! That`s great to know.

Loveask, I used Swaddlers in the evening time moreso, but that`s only bc I was being cheap. If you don`t mind spending the bit extra, I would have my baby wear them all the time - I think they`re great. Now that my son is a size M he wears Huggies(I`m not as cheap now, hehe), as except for Pampers NB and Swaddlers, I don`t think their diapers are very special.
As far as the Playtex stuff goes, maybe you can contact the HK distributor to see if they actually do distribute the liners in HK and if so, where.

Morning Shenzhennifer! May I ask which diaper you like for day time use? I am a first time mom, so would appreciate some guidance :)

we just used the pampers (green ones, not the purple ones) or huggies... whichever was on sale.

i am not a 'one brand' kinda gal...i always figures that if we travelled, i might have to make-do with some other replacement and so never got attached to one specific brand.

if you go to the supermarket, they have a few variations on pampers.

the green/turquoise ones have the fasteners that are a little like velcro. that's why i like them. the purple pampers are a little cheaper, but the fasteners are like stickers. i hate them... one time, my girl was squirming around (or maybe it was my boy...) and when i fastened them up, i didn't realise that i'd stuck part of the fastener to their skin... it wasn't until i tried to change the diaper that i found it and there was a big red welt on the little ones skin for a few days afterward....

Turns out that Eugene Club and BumpstoBabe don't see Boppy Nursing Pillow. I will probably end up buying MyBrestFriend from Eugene then ..... hope it's as good :)

i had a brestfriend and it was great! i didn't have it for my first, but got it second-hand for my second. i loved it and would highly recommend it to any newly nursing mother.

Obiwan, for daytime before I used normal Pampers, Fitti(which they used in the hospital for my newborn in China and their newborn line is good), one or 2 other cheap Chinese brands, a cheap pampers line from China, and DoReMe, a Japanese brand.
But since I discovered Huggies in Canada, which I didn`t buy before since it was more expensive, I now only buy that brand(even though the Huggies here are inferior in quality a bit), and I really like it and will probably never switch.
Basically I think Pampers is great for newborn and swaddlers are great, but their regular line (size small and up) seems to be cheaply made and not as comfortable for my son as Huggies.

or you could go with cloth nappies.

i REALLY wish i had... they would have more than paid for themselves after 2 kids.
