playgroups for babies over the weekends?

Hi all!

I am from Singapore, a working mum with a cute and chubby 7 months old girl.

My girl loves to play and get real excited when she sees other kids. But we have not been able to join any of the playgroups from this site as the timings are usually on the weekdays.

Are there any mums out there that would like to meet up over the weekends for an hour or two?

I am trying to organise a get together this weekend with details as follows:-
Date: Sat (21 Jan 06)
Time : 2pm
Place : Starbucks at Alexandra House, Central

Just joined this site and read this thread. My daughter is 6 1/2 months and I would be interested in joining this group as weekends are also much better for me. I may have missed the first group meeting but let me know if there are any other in the pipeline.

So sorry for being out of action for so long as I was in Singapore for the CNY holidays.

So glad that there are so much interest from other mums wanting to meet up over the weekend and a big thank you to Kellyst for taking over the organising in my absence.

I understand that Kellyst is trying to organise one for the 25th Feb.
But if there is enuff interests, we could try to have one this weekend with details as follows:-

Have you guys tried The Rumpus Rooms - its open on Saturday mornings. I took my 13 month old daughter there last weekend.
 
I have tried The Rumpus Room about 1 month ago and my girl(then 7 months old) loves it. Infact, my hubby will be bring her to The Rumpus Room again this Sat.

Personally, I feel that the place is more suited for kids that are above 7 months old when they can crawl and play with toys. There are kids in the group that are only 4.5 months old so still very much of a baby and not able to enjoy the facilities fully.

We will ck with the other mums when we meet this Sat on where to hold our next gathering... one thought is to have picnic at the Peak!

thanks Keryn, we'll keep that in mind for the next mtg. but we might need places for Sat afternoons to make it more flexible for working moms and dads possibly working Sat morning. if anyone else has other ideas on places to meet, we'd love to hear them :)
