Hi All,
I have a three week old daughter and am interested in putting together an informal group of babies / parents / helpers to meet on a regular basis.
My son is two years old and has been part of a similar group for the last 20 months or so. His group works very well. There are two 'streams' in the group.
1) Parents and babies get together on an ad hoc basis; and
2) particularly good for working parents, helpers and babies get together for a few hours each week and rotate venues around participants' houses. This is great for kids (they can still see each other even though parents are at work) and also a good network for the helpers.
So it works well for all parents - whether you are working or stay-at-home.
I look to arrange something similar for my new daughter. I fall into the working parent category but am on leave until mid-March.
Please reply to this thread if you would like to participate or have any questions.
All the best,
Linda
