Playgroup/coffee group Taipo

Hi

I've just moved to Hong Kong from Toronto, Canada and are based in TaiPo. I have a one year old son. I am not sure if there is a local playgroup as I just move to HK 3 weeks ago. It would be great to meet other moms and would also mean that my son can have some playdates and make some new friends.

Hi.I also stay in Tai po with 2 sons (5 yrs old and 1.5 yrs old).we shifted from singapore in july.I didnt came across any play group for my kids around this area.The older one spends some fun time in kindergarten but the little one is usually at home getting bored.

How about meeting next Wednesday (the 17th). I'm not sure if there are many places to go in Tai Po, maybe Shatin would be better for a coffee?
 
my baby is 7 months old... and i am staying in my parent's house in Taipo at the moment.... mind if i join?
 
Hi girls. If you can get there the Starbucks in Tai Po centre is great! Almost completely empty until around lunch time. My boys are 3 and 5 so at school but I would love to meet other mums in Tai Po. Mornings generally work best for me. 17th is fine.
 
by the way, Norwegian International School on Kwong Fuk Rd has an afternoon playgroup on Tue and Thurs for babies from walking till they are old enough for K1. The teacher is from New Zealand. Check out www.nis.edu.hk

It in on the ground floor in the open area that has the big Christmas display and KFC etc.

blackxima - since you started this thread why don't you pick a time that suits you and we can go from there...

There is also the Starbucks at the Tai Po Market station but it is pretty noisey!
 
17th works well for me too...but lets see what time is good for all of u...I need to go drop my son to school at 12:30 pm
 
Hi All! Thanks for all the replies! Sorry I've been busy and haven't checked the site for a while...
The Starbucks sounds great. It just that I am not free tomorrow 17th so if all of you have specific time works for you, then please go ahead! (May be too late now..) But how about 19th the Friday? If not, Next Tuesday, 23rd. If we meet in the morning, how about 10:30? If in the afternoon, 2:00? (I set the time thinking of babies' lunch time) but feel free to suggest another time if this doesn't work.
Let us know if the dates works, as well.
