Hi

Have just moved to Hong Kong from NZ and are based in Happy Valley. I have 2 girls - a 3 year old and a 17 mth old. Not sure if there is a local playgroup as am still finding my feet. It would be great to meet other mums - as would help my sanity - and would also mean that the girls can have some playdates and make some new friends.

Heya

Depending on timing, I would be able to catch up. I am free between 12 pm to 3 pm-ish most days (except Wednesday this week).
I live in Jardine's Lookout but I take the kids to the free indoor playground in Happy Valley from time to time because my kids love it so much. I have a 4 year old daughter and 18 month old son.. I'm originally from Auckland, but moved here from OZ 3 months ago.

That would be great to catch up. I haven't been to the indoor playground yet so would be keen to try it out. How does Thursday sound bout 1.30ish ?

Sounds fine to me. :)

Did you want to meet at the indoor playground (It closes from 1 to 2 pm for cleaning apparently)? Or grab a drink or something first?
I'll only have my son, so it will be a little easier for me. ;)

I've sent you a priv msg with my contact details.

Look forward to catching up!

Lisa

p.s. Anyone else out there want to join in?

Playground address

Could someone tell me where this indoor playground in Happy Valley is located please?

It is in the leisure/sports centre on Yuk Sau Street, diagonally opposite Wellcome.

The indoor playgrounds are on the 4th floor (it is the same building as the library, one floor up). You take the lift up.

There are 2 playgrounds.. one for 3 years and under in a 'converted' squash court, and another for over 3's which has a small climbing structure and slides. Every couple of hours they disinfect the playrooms.
The rooms aren't huge, but they're free and quite convenient... and so far of the ones I have been to, Happy Valley is the best. They are air conditioned, so a good place to take the kids to escape the heat and humidity.

Another wonderful person on these forums told me about them.. and they became an excellent way for my children and I to escape the heat but still let the kids have fun.

Hey Daisyduck

Thanks for meeting up today!!

Anyone else interested in a regular outing to the free indoor playground, or even the outdoor one next to the race track??

Hi ladies,

I'd love to join for the next outing - my son is now 21 months. I'm okay to meet any day between 1.30pm to 3pm.

Was great to meet up with you too Kiwiinoz.

I'm keen to have session with the kids at either playground. My oldest starts morning preschool next week happy to do either morning or afternoon - how about next Weds/Thurs at the indoor playground around 1.45/2.00ish.

That sounds great. Both days work for me. Is there one that you would prefer angeilin?

Look forward to catching up. :)

Lisa

Wednesday is better, thanks. I have not been there but will head for Yuk Sau Street and look for the building. Look forward to meeting both of you!

Angeline

Hey Angeline

It is a big pink tiled building, diagonally opposite Wellcome. Yuk Sau Street is the road next to where the Happy Valley tramline ends. There is an entrance at street level that will lead you into a foyer with lifts and the Children's Playrooms are on the 4th floor.
Can't wait to catch up. Do you want me to send you my mobile number just incase?

See you wednesday... any other mum's out there are also welcome!

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for directions, will need them! Pls PM me your mobile number in case.
Look forward to meeting both of you.

Hi ladies

Great to catch up.
We were tentatively thinking about Thursday afternoon next week at the indoor playground for another get together. Let me know if this works for you both.

And anyone else out there who would like to join us, please feel free. The more the merrier. :)

I can stay longer on Tues.. so shall we confirm Tues at 2-ish pm indoor playground? Hope this works for Daisyduck
