Playdates for 6 month old son

I have a 6 month old son and we moved to HK from the US about a year ago now. It'd be nice to get to know other new moms with kids around the same age (+/- 2 months) and share experiences about motherhood and life in HK.

Getting out for a cup of coffee is always good, and much needed a lot of times, but I'm open to having everyone get together at home - that way we can spread out & play (or nap) comfortably. To get things started, I'd be willing to host a playgroup at my place in hopes that we could take turns regularly.

I live in mid-levels and am interested in getting a group going on a weekday. Let me know if you're interested and have a preference of where you'd like to meet.

PS: the only requirement to this group is that we have to spend a portion of the time talking about "non-baby" related stuff (which apparently is harder than it sounds!) :tongue:

We just moved to HK from The Netherlands. We
are a mixed couple , I'm Italian and my husband is Dutch.
let's meet for a cup of coffee, chat while our children are playing together..I would prefer to meet other moms who also like to talk about non related baby topics.
I won't be in honk gong for few days..we will be back on monday.:yeah2:yeah2

Live in Mid Levels and would love to meet up anytime during the week. am open to either meeting out or at home what ever is convenient.
Just joined this group and am glad to see lots of moms on board. will be nice to meet other moms, gets really lonely with hubby at work.

I just moved here 6 days ago and would like to meet up too. My son will be 5 months next week (but you wouldn't guess it because he is almost 9 kilos/20lbs. We live in mid-levels, off Conduit (above Robinson). Let me know when and where. Maybe next Monday the 18th?

Hi, I would be interested (my little girl is 6 mo's). We're in the mid levels and Monday 18th works for me also.
 
Looks like there may be quite a few of us! Should we kick it off by meeting at Starbucks for coffee on Mon 18th at around 3ish? The one in pacific place on the 4th floor is roomy...does anyone have any suggestions on where else we could meet?
 
Monday fine with me. I am expecting a deliverty between 9-2pm - if for any reason they are running late I will be with you as soon as i can - look forward to it :flower:

I'll pop along also, do you mean the starbucks on the top floor by the taxi stand or the one on the lower ground level by Lane Crawford?

The starbucks I'm talking about is next to the taxi stand, which has some room towards the back. I just hope it's not too busy - there'll be 7 of us plus strollers and babies. Any other suggestions of places that could accomodate all of us?

I've been in HK for 9 months and have a seven month old son. I stay in Happy Valley but have no probs in meeting up once a week, infact would look forward to having a non baby conversation. Next week have guests so any time after that is great. Let me know.
