Hi, I am a stay at home mom in mid-levels with a 7 month old boy and am looking for other moms with similar aged baby or babies to meet. I'm originally from NY and have been in HK a little over 2 years now. Look forward to hearing replies!

Hi! I'm also a first time mom - now staying at home to take care of our almost 3 month old son! Also from NY and have been in HK for almost 2 years as well... Have you been able to meet new moms in the area? Can you suggest any outlets or playgroups? hope mommy hood is treating you well.

Hi, just moved to HKG about 1 month ago and I also have a 6 mos old baby boy! We live in the Mid levels close to Robinson and would love to meet up for coffee and play date. Let's get together soon!

Hi there, I've just moved to HK from London and am at home with my almost-7month old baby boy. We are currently staying in mid-levels and looking to rent around Robinson Road - I don't know anyone in HK and I'd love to meet some others in the area - have you three managed to meet up? I'd love to join you!

We haven't all met yet. We should set something up. Maybe somewhere that has a playroom? My son is getting more and more antsy these days!

Sounds good - bit of a new concept for me (my "new mum" experience in London was parks/ cafes/people's apartments) so I'll have to rely on those more in the know :)

Lol I hear you. If it weren't so hot, I'd love to do something outside but it's just so uncomfortable now. And lately the little one can only stay amused at a coffee shop for about 15 minutes before he gets squirmy. There are a few kid friendly restaurants here with playrooms we could grab a bite and head to the playroom. I can look into some tomorrow and let you know. I'm free this Friday or sometime next week. Looking forward to it!

Hey you two. Keep me posted if you decide to meet up next week.. My in laws will be in town but ill be free towards the end of next week.

Hi all,

I just arrived in HK last week from London. I was thinking about moving to mid-level and wondered whether you can comment on the facilities there? Is there anywhere to go and do you have any problems w/out clubhouse facilities?
I have a 4 month and 3 y.o, would love to meet up if you have set up a time/place. Right now I will have to drag the 3 y.o. with me as it is school holidays, but she will start afternoon class from Sep, so if you are meeting in the afternoon (when she is at school) I would love to join.

Ok how about next week, Tuesday or Wednesday about noon? Place to be determined (but somewhere around central/mid levels).

Whoops just saw the other messages so ignore my last message. Let's meet end of next week then so Cynthia can join. I can't do Thursday. Does Friday work for everyone? Evilcc- I think mid levels has less room for he kids to run around than if you were to move to say discovery bay or new territories. There are some parks and more formal playgroups in mid levels. My son is 8 months so I'm just starting to look into activities but of course they're more baby activities so im not sure for a 3 year old. I know plenty obviously live in mid levels but not sure what the popular places are for them. We can chat more when we meet.

Both days are good for me so I'm happy for someone else to have a preference... Otherwise, lets go with Tuesday?

So we are meeting Fri 19th? I should be free unless we manage to tag along w hubby on his business trip, in which case hopefully I can join the next time.
catkculhane thanks for the info. I was more looking for activities for the 4 m.o, my plan is to keep the 3 y.o occupied with school and extra curricular activities. From my research so far there are plenty of those on offer for older kids but nothing much for babies, unlike in London where we could do all sorts of stuff with the babies (sing along, baby massage, dancing...etc). Yup will chat more when we get together hopefully...

How does Oolaa on Fri the 19th sound for some coffee? Say around 10:30am? There's no playroom (the restos with playrooms seemed a bit pricey) but Oolaa is casual and roomy so I think it should be okay. Let me know if you guys are up for that. Evilcc - That makes sense. There are playgroups for babies in Central. The most informal/inexpensive one I found is at St Johns Cathedral from 2:30-4:30 every Thurs. It's for 0-2 year olds. No reservation required and just $20, you can show up and leave whenever. We've done that the past few weeks. I am looking into others but they all seem a bit more formal and more expensive (like $200 per session). So thats why I also wanted to just set something up like this where us moms can meet and do our own little playgroup. I know there are baby massage classes and baby yoga classes too offered by different places but I haven't looked into any of that.

I am in on Friday as well. Not travelling until the afternoon so 10:30 am is perfect. Can you send a link to Oolaa as I am still finding my feet around the area?
