play group for 13 months old

Hi, everyone! i am new here, just want to say hello to all of you and i am very glad to join you. As i was register my name Kate, there is a 'kate' already, so i become 'Kate2', hi to the other kate!

I have a 13 months daughter and i am looking for a play group (once a week) for her, we had been to Gymbree which is OK, but is there any other options?

My children have all been to the "Parent & Toddler" Sessions at the HKPPA Headquarters. They have all loved the place in their different ways.

Hello,

My son is soon to be 9 months next week, is there any playgroups suitable for him? He's very shy! I need something to stimulate him...any suggestions?
 
My daughter and I started to go to Union Church Mother and Toddler group when she was 11 months old. We really enjoyed going there once a week on Thursday morning. The volunteer there Emma is a mother herself and she is great with kids! She remembered all the kids' names, dance and laugh with the kids. My daughter adored her! There is a nice and spacious outdoor area with sand/grass/plants/greenary and plenty of toys. Emma will lead the art and craft session, story time and singing time. Mothers are expected to help up and bring their own snacks for the children.

It's $75 per session and each session is 2 hours.

The toys may not be as fancy as those commercial playgroups and the environment may not be as posh but my daughter was really happy there and I highly recommend it!
