Plastic PVC cover for dining table

My son is now 8 months old and we'd like to protect our dining table from his exuberant banging. I'm looking for a plastic cover around 3 or 4 mm thick that is also clear so we can create a photo montage underneath it.

Does anybody know where you can purchase a piece of this material that can be cut to measure.? It should also be flexible so that it can be rolled up. I have walked along Lockhart road looking at the hardware shops, but was only able to find a piece that was not flexible.

Hi what a good idea! I don't think I've ever seen flexible plastic that thick. In Apita in Cityplaza, Taikoo Shing, they did have rolls of PVC tablecloth and I seem to remember that they had clear, or clear-ish ones too. You can get them cut by the metre. Maybe you you could use one thicker board underneath, then the photos and then the clear PVC on top?
