picture reader

Does anyone know where I can buy a picture reader? My daughter is 18m old but still do not speak (except daddy and mom). I think a picture reader may help and have tried toys R us and Wise Kid but cannot find.

If what you mean is a talking book such as the Leap Frog ones then the IFC Dymocks sells them

Sorry for making it clear at the first place.

It is more than a talking book. It is flash cards + card reader. You can slot the card into the machine and listen to the word. I saw a kid playing one before with English and Mandarin but don't know where he bought it from.

Disney and Time also have picture readers but the whole set of material cost $40000+ and $25000+ respectively.

My 7-year-old niece did not speak a word (not even mom or dad) until she was 21 months old. But by her 2nd birthday, she could speak in full and complicated sentences like "Would you like some pepperoni?" and "I apologize". By 3 years old, her command of English was of a first grader.

She lives in the States in a bilingual home, and am not sure whether that has anything to do with her speaking a little later than we hoped. I know it's worrying for a parent, but please give her some time. As long as you've been assured by her PD that she has no hearing nor speech problems, she should be fine.

Actually, she starts to speak more this week like "okay" and "don't like". Just like svasbt said, I need to give her more time.
