Park Island, TuesWan, Tsingyi, KwaiFong area

Hi Moms,

When D was around 2, a group of us Moms started a playgroup in our complex. We'd meet once a week, and all take turns to host. The playgroup included free play, circle time, a few songs, sometimes flash cards or story telling, ended with an arts/crafts and then snacks. It was a lot of fun. We got most of our ideas from the web. Hope your group is a success too!

I also live in Tsing Yi and have a 3 yr old girl and 1 yr old boy...would love to join your playgroup and meet new mums!

Hi, tangwiki, good to hear you are interested. But sounds like few mums from Tsing Yi, Tsuen Wan or Park Island are interested in joining the group. Where do you live? My clubhouse charges alot. See if other places are available.

Just to start things up, how about we meet in Park Island on September 8th at around 3:00pm? We can go to the beach or to the park where they have slides and stuff. I am open to other suggestions.

Hi there,

We have gathered a group of moms from Park Island for a trial playgroup several weeks ago. In fact, it all started with my friend who has a 10 month old baby boy. She couldn't find closeby baby playgroups so she gathered several moms and rented the clubhouse for a trial classes. I helped her out that day. The feedback were extremely positive. We had more babies than we could accept. Parents are asking her to run regular sessions.

Let me give you some background of my friend. She has lived and is raised abroad, so she is fluent in English, French, Madarin and Cantonese. She blended in music, singing, finger plays, foreign languages as well as Glenn Doman style flashcards in her playgroup. It was quite fun.

I myself am a teacher in early education -Montessori trained. I cannot emphasize more the imporantce of exposing your children to foreign languages at early ages. I will help her to put together REGULAR class at "Park Island Club House" or "Nam Fung Center" should there be enough interested parents.

Since most people can't make it on Sep 8, lets reschedule it for some other time/place. Any suggestions?

I think we need to have some basic information. I suggest using the following format. We can copy & paste to your reply. THen, any voluntee can organize and group with similar age kids to play with.

Baby Name // Age // Language // email
Matthew // 2.5 yr // Eng & Chi // [email protected]

P.S. My kids is around 2.5 yr old. I often bring him here and there every Sat to explore. I want him to make more friends and probably can have some outdoor activities on Sat together. This saturday am (29/9), I will bring my boy to Park Island Beach.
