Pampers Diapers for new born

Hi there,

I read on a thread yesterday that Pampers had the best diapers for a new born.

I went onto Parknshop this morning but they seem to have a couple of names.

Can anyone please give me the exact name so I can buy them.

Many thanks.

Regards,
Trace

I have Papmers swaddlers as they are supposed to be better for BF babies and I think they are also imported from the US, which I read on a post months ago were better.
I bought them whilst they were on offer a couple of weeks ago in Mannings.

How are you? I had a Dr's appointment yesterday, apparently baby is engaged and ready to go! PANIC!!

hi love,

thanks for this. i will pick some up!

wow wee.... engaged .... sounds so much like locked and loaded!! my bubs is still up the channel and chilling out - thank the lord.

when are you due - thought we were the same time? i will driving up to the Matilda on the 25th of July!!! I am looking forward to it actually. Keen to start my new life with bubs as well as get my body back.

love trace

Just make sure your Pampers are imported from the US and not the same name made elsewhere. I remember a sign in Gateway stating how the US made ones were made to a different standard.

I used pampers for my son when NB but the leaking problem was bad, so I don't use this brand anymore.

I agree with jimum, we used pampers for our newborn daughter and had big leakage problems!

Was that with pampers NB or swaddlers? I've heard that the swaddlers are better at preventing the leaks and they are also imported

Thanks

I used Pampers NB but found that they arent snug enough and had leaking problems so we swapped and used Huggies NB which is in my opinion better for NB as they fit better. Trace I had my baby at Matilda and they use Huggies.

How about Fittis or the other local brands - has anyone used them for a snugger fit for newborns? We used Pampers for our first and they were awfully leaky, so ended up using Tesco's own brand which were much better. Grateful for any input as to what people use for newborns in HK as I am sure we will have the same prob this time around!

Just had our little one at matilda 4 weeks ago and they used pampers swaddlers, which we have continued to use. They are available from parknshop's website, just search "swaddler" have only had one "blowout" and that was overnight right after my milk came in. We love these diapers.

If you're delivering at the Matilda, you may want to hold off on buying diapers as they will provide you with three big packs of it while you are there and any unused ones can be packed up and taken home.

(From other posts it seems they are now using Pampers - although when I was there in March, we were given Huggies.)

The other advantage to waiting is that you can then see what size your baby is before deciding. If your baby is on the smallish side, then Huggies tend to fit better while bigger babies do better with Pampers.
