Paeditrican recommendation?

I too am looking for recommendations for a pediatrician in the central area. especially one who is tolerant of first time mum silly questions and concerns ;) and how often should I take my baby to them for checkups? Or is a GP good enough for routine checks and immunizations?

Dr. Richard Chiu is fantastic. He is on queens rd - central. He is excellent with my baby and he seems to really enjoy kids and his job. He even takes calls between 6am - 7am (he forwards the office line to his home line so you can call if u have questions).

One time, because my baby had dry red patches on her face and being a first time mom, I called to schedule an appt with the receptionist. It turned out to be baby acne and he did NOT charge me for the visit because he said he could of told me that over the phone. And because I was there, he gave her a quick check up. He gave us a prescription and the baby acne was gone two days later.

I have seen other doctors here in HK and even if its a two second visit, they will charge me the entire consultation fee.

Absolutely - we go to doc Chiu 's as well, he is v good. Heard Angela lau at central health medical practice is excellent, responds to email queries etc.
when doc Chiu is too busy I do go to international doctors to see doc Kim or innes, both gps. V helpful and little wait .

That's a helpful list. May I check if Dr. Thondup or Richard Liu or Angela lau give too many medication? I m not in favor of docs who administer antibiotics or high dose meds to infants n toddlers. Any comments?
