Inflatable Ring?

Hi,

My wife and I are expecting on Feb. We just went for a class in Kwong Wah Hospital so that I could be with her during the delivery. They mentioned some of the stuff you have but not the inflatable ring. When/where/why exactly do you have to use it?? We are preparing everything and do not want to bring anything unnecessary.
Thks in advance. And pls add anything in addition to the thing you have.

Congratulations HappyParents!

The Inflatable ring was a must for me! You're so sore after a vaginal birth that sitting in a chair is uncomfortable without one. ;-)

Re: Inflatable Ring

Where can I buy it? Am on Kowloon side. Also is there any place which rents out TENS machines alternatively can I buy it someplace? Any idea about the cost?

I havent noticed in the list - baby clothing for when they are in the hospital like vests and sleep suits. Do the private hospitals supply clothing for the babies whilst they are in hospital? also do they supply nighties for us too?. I will be having my baby at the Matilda in May. THANKS

Hi, Kimmi,

I just delivered at the Matilda in Nov. They provide the clothes for the babies until the day you leave then you put baby's own clothes on to take him/her home. I think if you want to, you could also provide them with your own baby clothes from the start but why bother?

They also provide you with nighties but i wore my own. A lot of the moms i saw were also wearing their own clothes. Some of us used the Matilda robe on top when walking around in public - it's nice and warm.

Matilda gives you a great experience - enjoy it!

I second that I would consider having another baby just to enjoy the Matilda experience again!!!! Really dont need to take anything in only home comforts I like Roshna wore my own pjs but nappies, sanitary towels, cotton wool etc etc was all provided for!! I kind of liked the way Matilda just dress the babies in little t shirts and nappies so much easier for changing. Enjoy the experience!!

Ho w come you need the 'old-style sanitary pads with belts' in the public hospitals?

Just curious...
