Ovulation on a 36 day cycle

I'm trying to work out when my ovulating days are and I've read that for a 28 day cycle then ovulation occurs on the 14th day after pevious period or 14 days before next and so on. I stopped taking the pill 8 months ago and have since established a regularity in my cycle which seems much longer than the norm. I'm wondering if anyone knows whether this means that I should ovulate around the 22nd day after my first period or 22nd days before the next. I'm 34 years old and know that my chances of conceiving cannot be determined by such calculations but I just want to get a rough idea. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Try Ovulation kits

I used an ovulation kit for a couple of months to pinpoint the exact dates that I ovulate and became pregnant quite quickly (am also 36 so no time to waste!). You can pick these up at Watson's or Mannings. A bit pricey but works better than watching the calendar or basal temperature monitering.

thank you so much for all the advice & suggestions, hope i'll have some good news soon, as Niterz says...no time to waste indeed.
