Organic Fresh Milk

I called Farm Milk and am confused. Is their milk any different from, say, Kowloon Dairy's?

The lady said their cows are not in HK, but the pasteuristion (sp?) is done here.

When I asked if their milk was any different from any others, she said she couldn't say - only that theirs was 100% pure fresh milk.
It's $23/litre - not sure if there's a minimum order but she said it's available in CitySuper.

Can anyone clarify for me?

These days, most milk is reconstituted milk. Which means that the milk is first dehydrated into powder form (for several reasons eg: to make low fat milk, hi-calcium milk, etc) and then converted into liquid milk again. If you read the labels carefully, some cartons clearly say 'milk drink' instead of just 'milk'. Havent researched the HK brands enough to know which is which.
So I guess the Farm Milk is real milk which has just been boiled and cooled to kill germs. Not subjected to any other tampering processes.

from what i understand, the brand Pure is pasteurised fresh milk. pasteurising is when you heat milk to a certain temperature for a period of time to kill the germs, so that it can keep longer & better for small children. but it is not reconsituted. dairy farm milk in the cartons are "milk drink". you'll be able to tell if you read the ingredient labels.

Where to buy organic infant formula in Hong Kong

Hi Rani,

Can you let me know where to buy Hipp Organic infant formula? I see many posts mentioning B2B - what is the address for this place?

Do you know if there are any places that sell bulk/provide discounts for organic infant formula (Hipp or Babynat or any organic brand)?

Thanks!
