Opinions on Sunshine House and Woodlands Treehouse, Pok Fu Lam?

Hi,

I'm looking for some classes for my 13 month old to attend. I've toured both Woodlands and Sunshine and both look very nice (although the prices were a huge shock!).

Sunshine didn't have a class going when I was there but they way they describe it makes it sound like the classes are quite structured and regularly changing, a mini-classroom environment. I actually attended a class at Woodlands and the teacher was lovely but it was basically just 50 min free play in a playroom/gym environment and then 10 minutes of songs... and I can do that at Wise Kids or our playroom for a lot less which makes me wonder if it's worth the money?

Would love to hear opinions on these two or suggestions for others.

Thanks :-)

My first child went to Woodlands Tree House - started at 16 months and he had a really great time and so did I. My second child will be starting at the Tree House only at 26 months because I have felt that a lot of the stuff can be done at home and of course she has a sibling to show her things/interact with etc. The prices are steep so I would certainly think twice about starting at 13 months old -- I would suggest waiting till 18 months at least - in the meantime why not try HKPPA at Borrett Road - Even if it's a bit further for you to travel at least the prices are lower and you could just go once a week - or perhaps a class at the YWCA on Macdonnell Road?

Thanks for the reply :)

I looked into HKPPA and they are already quite full and the remaning times won't work out at this stage, but they seem a good one to keep in mind for next year, much more reasonably priced.

Still mulling over the Sunshine and Woodlands....

Forgot to suggest a music class - there's Music Together, KinderMusik and a few others, might be fun to do that once a week, also Gymboree can work out quite good value if you do one of their packages as they have a free play time as well. Hope that helps!
