oil for bald baby

Hi

Our son is going to be bald in abt 4 weeks time. I was wondering if there was an oil/cream to keep his head soft( no itching) and prevent sunburn etc. i know a hat will be helpful but he doesnt like to wear them

Hi - Why is your son going to be bald??? Any reason for having all his hair shaved off??
Wouldn't you just use normal child suncream to put on the head and keep a sun hat on?
 
Its an Indian custom. Boys are shaved at 12 months. We just used sweet almond oil to moisturize D's head. :)

Where do you get this sweet almond oil from?

My little one's hair is growing very slowly and they say oiling the hair/head helps growth - any other oil that can be used and where can we get it from.

my mum says coconut oil works, does it ?
my little girl is nearly 2 years old and she have very little hair. I haven't shaved her head at all but think it is too late to do it now ? She's just started pre-nursery, so am considering doing it during the summer break. How long does it take for it to grow back by the way ?

My girl just turns two this month, she hardly have any hair at 20 months. Somehow the last two months, the hair just grew so fast and now she need a hair clip.
I would suggest you not to shave your girl's head now, I think (at least for my girl) a 2 year old girl already very concious about their outlook !!!! I don't think she will be too happy if you get her head shave.
