Office renovation during pregnancy

Hi all!

I just found out I'm pregnant and I'm currently in the 5th week.

My ENTIRE office building has been under renovation from the past several months (still going on). And I just moved into a newly-renovated room. It's a co-working space and they haven't done any test to see if the level of chemicals is above the limit. Plus it's an old industrial building that might use lead-based paint.

I'm totally freaked out. Is there anyone who has similar experience can give me some advice?

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Are the fumes quite strong? Johnson Group provide a VOC removal service. Or you can buy the spray and do it yourself

If you have a window in your office you can ask the mgt to open it for you. They normally have a master key and can lend it to you or open it for you every morning.

Another option is to ask if you can work from home for a few days until the smell dissipates.
