Hi ladies,
A bit of last minute thing---but has anyone been to Sanya recently? Any tips on must-dos, to-do and not-to-dos? I heard the weather is pretty hot out there, so we don't have to pack any jumpers/jackets, right?
I went last September and it was as hot as here. Hope you have nicer weather than us at that time, which was quite rainy when it wasn`t hot and sunny.
We didn`t do too much there, so I can`t give you much advice, and we weren`t big fans of the place.
Have a nice and relaxing trip. The locals are a lot more laid back than your regular Chinese folk.
We just got back from Sanya last week. It is still very hot and humid, much more so than Hong Kong. We hired a car and went to Monkey island which turned out to be a nice trip. We stayed at Ritz Carlton, so the ride is only about 1 hour from there. The cable car will take you to the island and you will see monkeys everywhere. It was quite fun for my two boys. We had the car waiting for us so it is much easier. Other than that, we just stayed at the beach in the hotel.
We had the best holiday in Sanya early this month. Stayed in the Mandarin Hotel. Fantastic resort. Lovely breakfast. Tons of swimming pools in the resort. Perfect place for kids. Will definitely go back there again next year with our first baby.
We went last month with our 2 kids and stayed at the Mandarin. We didn't venture out of the hotel at all, just swam everyday. The town didn't look very enticing so we didn't go out.
We went to a local restaurant in the city called Hu Nan Ren. Very nice food, but we were also not very impressed with the city. I guess that's one of the things Sanya still can't beat Bali.
