OCT - DEC mom's weekly lunch

Yep, 4.30pm on Friday is fine for me. Yes, sorry to miss yesterday's lunch. I have been sleeping so badly and was walking around in a daze yesterday. No early signs of Baby O'Neill's arrival yet though - look forward to catching up over tea.

Hi,

Would love to make it for tea on Friday as I also have lots of cravings for scones, cream and jam, but have to work till about 5.30 :( guess it will be a bit to late to show up after that.... Next time hopefully!!! Have fun and eat one or two for me :)

4:30pm is fine for me too. Simone - Hopefully see you next time.

Helen - Sorry to hear you've been sleeping badly - you're not alone, I'm suffering too. Have been wide awake today since 5am! I seem to wake up every hour or couple of hours during the night too...grrrrr! I know some may say it's training for when the baby arrives, well quite frankly I'd rather skip the training and have a nice nights sleep ;-)

So it's at the Mandarin Oriental cafe - in Central right?? what floor is that on?? Easy to find?? I've never been there.

ooh, if it's 4:30 i might be able to make it - please save me a seat as well!

Nicole - it is the Mandarin Oriental, on the mezzanine level overlooking the lobby - i think it is called the 'clipper lounge'

It's the old mandarin oriental (connaught rd) and I thought we'd go to the cafe which is on the mezzanine floor but it's called cafe causette (near the clipper lounge but closer to the walkway between the hotel and princes building). Nice, relaxed little spot. Plenty of people around to show you the way, you know how these hotels are. I think the count so far is...

I'll make a booking Thursday-ish so if anyone else is keen, let me know. Simone, where do you work? Is it far away? We will probably still be there. Once I sit down, it's hard to get moving again.
Sleeping- arghh! I hate the 3 o'clock wake ups, too hard to get back to sleep. I do find if I run around after Zoe all day and try to wear myself out, I can maybe get about 6-7 hours in a row! BLISS...let me know if you want to borrow her xxx

Can I say a tentative yes to Friday (I'll know for def by tomorrow/Thursday). I have a mild obsession for scones so I hope I can make it!

Errrr, would I have to change her nappy?? If not, then yes!!

Been quite active today and no sneaky daytime naps, so should hopefully get a better sleep tonight...I hope!!

Thanks for organising Rita - see you all Friday xx

Sounds like this waking up in the night malarky is all the rage during pregnancy! My husband has started calling me Angry Expat - I reckon that by the end of the week I will have had a good long sleep as I'll be so exhausted from the previous nights' insomnia.

See you on Friday cream tea lovers!

xx

arghhh i take that all back- ran around like a complete lunatic yesterday and then had to get up every two hours to go to the toilet last night! Feel very ripped off and very tired. I'll add Lisa and Leora to the scones list xxx

Scones please

I'm gonna try my best to make it, it's been a while since I belly bonded.

Helen - I think we're gonna need to start an agro-pregnant support group, I keep on wanting to smack random people (lol).

There was a kid on the MTR the other day who was sitting RIGHT in front of me (I was standing) - he was about 10 to 12... and he kept staring at me but wouldn't stand up!! I sooo badly felt like kicking him in the shins!! ;) But I was wearing flip flops, too bad...
