Hi all, I heard Dr Doo is fine to follow women who deliver in a public hospital. However, I could see some comments saying that he's very busy. May I ask some recommendations of obgyn who are fine with the half-half solution?

I'm seeing a private doc now an planning to have the delivery in a public hospital. I've had a really good experience so far with Dr. Charas Ong from the women's clinic in central. Haven't booked the delivery yet but looking at Queen Mary. Good luck!
Hi. I have decided to go through the half and half route too. Private consultations and delivery at Public. I am at 12 weeks and have not registered with Queen Mary as yet. Do I have to do monthly check ups at Public system if I am getting them done at a Private clinic? Does that mean I have to go through this twice? Please advice
You don?t need to do all check-up twice. For instance the structural scan (don?t remember when you have to do it) but if you have done it in private they won?t ask you to come in the public.
Then the number of appointments at public will depend if it?s your first pregnancy or not.
For my second pregnancy (public again) I had just a few visits (perhaps 3 or 4) at public as I already delivered in QMH once and no complications. I was also seeing doc Ong who used to work in QMH.
Mention that you see a private doctor and you?ll see what they say.
