Nov 2015 Moms

Hi All,

I am a first time mom and think this will be the third person due on 26 Nov :) - this also happens to be my birthday!However, I am pregnant with twins (ivf worked first time), which means I will give birth no later than week 38.

I am planning on giving birth at QMH, but will be seeing my private OB throughout. Currently contemplating on wether or not to do the antenatal classes through Annerley.

Happy to meet up from July onwards when life is a little less hectic.

I'm also new to this forum. I'm expecting my first on Halloween, October 31st and am currently planning on having the baby at Queen Mary. I would love to attend any future meetups. I've been in Hong Kong about 2.5 years and live on HK Island, but work in Kowloon Tong. If anyone happens to work on the Kowloon side, I'd love to meet up for lunch some time. Happy to join a dinner anywhere. I'm also trying to figure out where to do antenatal classes, Annerley or A Mother's Touch were recommended to me. Has anyone done either? Any suggestions?

I am also four month pregnant and my due day is Nov. 30. This is my first kid. She is the result of my 6th IVF attempt. So, I am extremely happy, excited, and anxious about this pregnancy.

I am currently live in the US and will move to Hong Kong by the end of June for a new job. I am not entirely new to Hong Kong--I lived in Hong Kong between 2003-2006 as a student. However, with different life stage and different occupation (and, the fact that Hong Kong has changed so much in the last couple years), there are so many things that I need to figure out from the scratch once I get there…

In any case, it would be great to meet other expecting mothers once I get there. Please keep me posted for your future meet up. Thanks!

Anyone can attend. I just called and their next English is on the last Saturday of June. Otherwise the next one will be in Oct. The class has 2 parts: pre and post natal (held a week apart for 45 mins) so the downside of attending too early is that most ppl might forget what to do post natal.

Also they need to make sure they have enough numbers or the class might be cancelled so having it too late will also pose a risk but u don't have to pay until 2 weeks prior so the nurse suggest that I also book classes at other hospitals for backup.

Separately, any of u ladies have spider/varicose veins popping up? I seem to be getting most of the pregnancy symptoms -MS, bleeding gums, constipation, itchy skin around belly... :(

This is my second baby and I'm due on 29th November. My first was born at Matilda by emergency c-section and I'm going to deliver there this time too. my daughter is 20 months old now so will be just over 2 years when her sister arrives.

During my first pregnancy the other mums set up a facebook group and a whatsapp group which made it easier and quicker to communicate and support each other. Any thoughts? I can co-ordinate and arrange the groups if people would like.

Is the dinner taking place this week? I already have plans Wednesday but can make it Thursday if that's when it happen, otherwise see you all next time.
