Not registering for a hospital

What happens if I don't do it?? What about if I register and don't use it?

if you don't register, i think you have to go to one of the public hospitals, which are pretty good, btw.
if you register for the adventist you have to put down a deposit. if you don't use it, your deposit will be gone. i don't know about other privat hospitals.

As far as I know, all private hospitals require a deposit. But for public hospitals, they can`t turn you away (with HKID) so it doesn`t matter if you register or not. But I guess it`s a lot easier for them and you so you are already familiar with each other and doctors, etc.
