Non scary paediatrician

My little two year old is terrified of the doctors. She hasnt been that often or had any hugely bad experience but she is always scared of the masks they wear. As soon as they zoom in on her she screams.

Any one got experience with a doctor who does not mask up. I know it is a HK thing but definitely not friendly looking or reassuring/comforting to a small child.

Same goes for dentist. Haven't tried that one yet but I am dreading it for the same reason.

Thanks
Nina

Hi,

My son sees Dr Richard Chiu and he's very friendly and soft-spoken - certainly not scary.

His details are:

Room 1309 Melbourne Plaza
33 Queen's Road
Central
Tel. 2810 7018
Mon-Sat: 11am - 1pm
Mon-Fri:3pm - 6pm

If you want to see him at Matilda Hospital he is there on Tuesdays 2.30pm - 4.30pm.

He has been a great doctor for us.

He's a real sweetie and kids warm up to him very quickly. The first doctor that my son actually smiled at!! Highly recommend him - he even wears a bow tie!

yes definately reconmend Dr. Richard chiu! He is a very good doctor not even just good i think he is a very devoted doctor i have i ever meet. My son goes to him since he was born he even change his nappies when we visit him! He also answers
calls and diagnoses give solutions on small things. He is great.

Dr Tana Thondup at Veritas doesn't wear a mask either (BOA building). Always very nice - never scary.

I love Dr. Wong. He is gentle and mask free and toy friendly! So my son loves seeing him. He isn't a PD though. He's a great GP. Dr. Wong is at Laura Bramley and Associates and the PD there is great too. We saw him at the Matilda though. I love their natural approach to medicine too.

We used to see Dr. Brian Walker but I think he is still away.

Have never and would never take him to a masked PD/GP.
