Next dinner - Thursday 3 December?

Hello ladies

I offered to organise the next evening get together at the last dinner we had, and I know some of you were keen to meet on a Thursday rather than a Wednesday this time, so how does 7pm on Thursday 3 December sound? Depending on numbers, I thought we could try Enoteca on Elgin Street, but let me know if any of you have any preferences.

So far, there are nine of us who can make the dinner on 3 December:

I've provisionally booked a table for 9 at Enoteca on Elgin Street (47 Elgin Street in Soho - the reservation is under the name of Aldred). Do people want to bring along partners to this one, or shall we try and organise something else after the 3rd?

We now have 19 for dinner at Enoteca (Elgin Street) on Thursday (7pm). There is one table of 10 and one table of 9 and the reservation is under the name of Aldred:

Enoteca has just called and said there needs to be a minimum spend of HK$6,000 for the 19 of us (HK$316 per head). Does that sound okay with everyone, or would you like me to book somewhere else? I'm just conscious that a few people didn't turn up at the last dinner, so we don't want to be left with a big bill between a few of us! x
 
Late joiner - but can I join the Enoteca party?
My suggestion to get round the min spend and avoid the problem of last time, is to break the booking up.

Perhaps try calling enoteca back and say you have just rechecked numbers and only 10 are confirmed....meanwhile make another booking under a different name for another 10! If you think that will work I am quite happy to call Enoteca and make the second booking under my name!

I'm definatly a yes for dinner on Thurs night but I do think that OopsIdiditagain has a great idea in terms of breaking the booking up...that way if some ladies are unable to attend at the last minute those that are there dont get lumped with a bill bigger than expected.

I am so sorry - only just remembered to check the message board again. Must be pregnancy brain! I eventually agreed a HK$300 minimum charge per person with Enoteca (rather than the HK$6,000 total). We are booked for 19, but I'm sure they can fit one more in. Gina has sent up an email forum that most people are using instead of the message board, so send her a personal message then she can add you to the distribution list.
 
Hi caitlin, Gina sent me the details of the list but I cant seem to see any of the previous email coprespondence...but will work it out eventually, see you soon..
