newborn medical packages

Hi,
Our medical insurance does not cover maternity and, as we just found out, also does not cover newborn vaccines and checkups (it only covers her when she is sick!). I am using the public system for maternity, but was hoping to go private for the baby's medical care. Can anyone tell me if there is such a thing as a package I can buy that will cover the baby's vaccines & routine checkups and, if so, what company offers them? Thanks a lot!

Most of the private hospitals have Well-baby Clinic and all of them offer Baby health package.
My LO goes to Canossa, since it is close to where we live and she was born there. You can just call them up and ask for detail in different hospital.

The govt does do nearly all the regular vaccines (free) - why not go with the govt schedule and then just top up privately (for example the Hib vaccine is given routinely in the UK, but not here, so we paid a few hundred dollars and had it privately)..

packages

I don't know where you live,
but I take my baby to a private hospital called "Union Hospital" in N.T, and they have two packages.

one package is from one months till 18month -7 visits including vaccines & check ups it cost HKD$3500

and the other package is joining beyond 6months of age-4 visits including vaccines & check-up it costsHKD $1900

but optional vaccines such as chickenpox & pneumococcal Conjugate are not included in the packages.

hope this can help you.

Thanks for your replies,
I think we will use our local gov. clinic for the checkups and some of the vaccines and make some adjustments via a private doctor.
