New to Hong Kong-looking for hospital

Hello,

My husband and I just moved to Hong Kong for work. I am about 7 months pregnant and I am looking for the closest best hospitals around Mid-level to deliver my child. Could someone give me advice?

welcome! it depends whether or not you plan on going to a public or private hospital... however hk adventist or mathilda (both private) are close to you... do a search on this site and you can get more info. Also it depends who your doctor is... and where they typically deliver.

do check quickly however, i've heard that hospitals are filling up especially quickly this year as we've put our deposit in since May (i'm due in nov).

canossa is closest to where you are....you better have your doctor book a place for you asap as places are filling up like staargrl says.

Hi Helen

We lived in Mid-levels and went to Matilda which is a private hospital. The closest public is Queen Mary. If your going private it depends on where your OB delivers otherwise Queen Mary is very good. This site has lots of great information regarding hospitals.

Matilda hands down for private (if no complications) - Queen Mary gor public, For private you need to go to an OB-GYN that exclusively delivers at Matilda to get you a bed at such a late date. Favourite docs that get a prioirty for their patients are the ones that deliver there the most. Dr Ghosh, Dr Philip Ho, Dr Lucy Lord comes to mind.
