New to Hong Kong do you know where I can buy...

Hi There,

We are just unpacking our 1001 things and was wondering do you know where I can buy:

1. pillow inserts for throw pillows in various sizes in preferably feathers but polyester will do

2. get pictures framed (specifically my husband's collection of old maps so need someone wo can do good matt borders etc.)

3. those storage bags made of tent like material that you can store pillows/duvets etc. when not in season that I can shove extra stuff in under the bed.

The only place I know is Wing-on and I haven't seen the above items there

2. picture framed. i go to this place on Queen's Road East. next to hopewell centre, hopewell centre side of the street. it's a proper store with a glass door, i forgot the name. but there are several on that street. they're cheaper than the ones on lyndhurst terrace in soho.

3. canvas storage bags for under the bed. they have in IKEA. (top zip opening). ask the store assistants, they'll help you. i live on HK island, so i go the one in causeway bay.

Maybe I should clarify my first request ;-) I've got some pillows I bought on holiday in Thailand but have only the outer bit we'd call it the pillow slip in Australia I guess ... I need the inner bit or filling

I'm sorry but i still don't understand. so you've got the pillow-case & your need pillows?

in HK, we usually use pillows, cover with a pillowcase, which are sold in most department stores. some stores even sell pillow protectors (like mattress protectors, but for pillows), usually dust mite protected.

or you need the stuffing for pillows? stuffing i bought from the cloth shops on Lei Yuen East Street. just regular filling for doll making. or you can go to Spotlight at Megabox, Kowloon Bay. but those are mostly for doll making. i've never heard of anyone who stuff their own pillows?
