New to HK - Mom of 3 m/o and 2 y/o ---- looking to make new friends!!!

Hi everyone, I moved to HK earlier this year and my baby girl was born here in July. She is 5 months old now and we'd love to meet up with all the mums and their little ones. Pls let me know when you all are meeting next?

Hello- I am an american/iranian stay at home mom of sami a 3 year old boy and talya a 2 year old girl. We will be moving to HK in March and know no one there. My husband will be working in Central. He will be coming in January to find us an apartment. We are thinking about staying in quarry bay or any area where the mtr runs does anyone have any suggestions. Also looking to find a good motessori or preschool for my kids. Any advice you can give me is much appreciated. Thanks and hope to meet you all once we are there. All the best, Marjan

Hi Sooney, welcome to HK! We moved here in March so rather new as well. I have an 11month old son and we moved from Singapore. Which district do you live in? i am in the east in Sai Wan Ho. We can certainly try to arrange a meet up whenever convenient. Look forward to meeting up.

That sounds great. We are staying in a serviced apt in causeway bay and are in the process of finding a home. Is your son walking? We go to victoria park most days. It is so beautiful. You could join us there if that suits you? Happy Easter.
 
Hi Anne-Maree, yep ok i know causeway bay but only Sogo. How far is Victoria Park from Sogo? Id love to check it out :) My son is not walking yet so im still gonna need the stroller and it is a pain going around HK in MTR with stroller, too many escalators. Perhaps we can meet at Sogo and walk there together? :)
 
hello. i have been taking my 1 year old daughter to the toy library @ hong kong library opposite victoria park. she loves it there. please let me know if you are interested in coming along to a session. they are free but you must book. i will forward the details if you are interested.

I've also just moved to Hong Kong with my two boys aged 3 and 1 and am keen to meet other mums. We live in Happy Valley and could easily get to Victoria Park. LEt me know if anything is planned soon or if you would like me to arrange something and we can hopefully start up something regular.

Hi Mawgan and Carla, welcome to HK! :) Hope you are have nicely settled in and is getting used to HK.

It would be awesome to meet and i would like to find out which part of HK you guys are staying in? I am in the East in Sai Wan Ho. Understand Mawgan you are in Happy Valley. Carla, where is Parkview? There is a regular playgroup set up by one of the mummies for those who live in Tai Koo area which is in the east as well. If you guys would like to join just send me your email addresses and i will forward it on to them. I think they meet every Friday.

The weather has been so bad lately and i have not managed to visit Victoria Park. Lets wait till the weather gets better before we organise a day out there shall we? :)

I am still travelling around with my stroller and not many malls in HK are stroller friendly ie have lifts that take us around instead of escalators which is very daunting. IM terrified of escalators hence Sogo is easy access from MTR with lifts that take us around plus Landmark in Central or Prince Building in Central as well. Cityplaza in Tai Koo is also baby friendly with a nice cafe for coffee Cafe Habitu and is alot more spacious as well compared to cafes in central area.

If you guys would like to explore to the east if convenient, perhaps we can arrange a meet next week for afternoon tea, that way most of our babies have had their nap. :)

Thanks so much for replying! That would be lovely! Parkview is on Tai Tam reservoir road which is in the Repulse Bay area but happy to travel to meet up as this is only a temporary address for us until we find somewhere to settle so am keen to explore other areas!

Hi vivien. I hv a 14 months ok'd baby living in Kowloon. I'm from Malaysia and have been living here for almost two years. Would like to meet new mommies too.
