If by Dr. Ho, you mean Dr. Phillip Ho, you can contact him at

T: 2899-2293 or 2526-3322.

His clinic is located at Hing Wai Bldg (7th floor, I think). Hing Wai Building is the same building along Queen's Road Central where the Coach flagship store is.

Dr. Ho is not cheap, but his success rate apparently is pretty high.

Dr Lucy Lord is a fertility specialist too...not cheap though. but her success rate is high. my friend supposedly only had a 30% chance of having a kid and now with her help has had three lovely healthy kids. She's at Central Health
3rd Floor Baskerville House,
13 Duddell Street,
Central, Hong Kong

Dr Alex Doo. Great sense of humor and great bedside manner. You can find his details in the directory on this forum.
He got me pregnant in less than a year and trust me I've spent a long time trying.

Hope it works out for you soon
:gl:

Dr. William So at Central Building is also a fertility specialist

He is my gynae and he has great bedside manner and is very professional

Thank you all for your information does anyone have an idea of the going price of DR who specialize in fertility.... i am from canada and untill you mentioned price i didnt really think about it

Dr Doo charges 900hkd for a visit and 1000hkd for an ultrasound.
I have BUPA insurance and they cover the cost but I must admit it's not cheap over here. Mind you it was worth ever penny.

Dr Patrick Chan is also a fertility specialist. not sure what his success rate is, but he has great bedside manner and is very attentive and caring. his clinic is in central tekl: 2522 2500. hecharges around $800 per visit, which includes ultrasound. If you need ivf, be prepared for around $70,000 per cycle, or less if you have frozen embryos to use.

Another great thing about Lucy Lord is that her clinic has a relationship with Prof. Christopher Haines from the Dept of Gyn at the university. He runs an assisted reproduction clinic at the Prince of Wales Hospital. I was a 'difficult' case with Dr Lords clinic so they had me attend a special clinic with Prof Haines. Through his clinic he figured out what the poblem was and, through trying different drug combos, was able to find a winning formula. I can't remember Dr Lord's fees but Prof Haines charged hk$1500 per cycle for as many scans as it took to figure things out. Drug costs were on top of this.

Mela, I met Dr. Doo for a consultation. I didn't mention I wanted to go for IVF but mentioned that I have been in TTC for a while andI would like to do the tests and then take treatment depending upon the results. He asked me for my marriage certificate, which I felt was weird. Is the standard in HK?
FYI I went alone for the consultation

Yes - this is Hk law - in order to undergo any fertility treatment you have to present marriage certificate. This law was made even stricter last Feb and I remember that when I went for my frozen cycle I had to sign all the papers again and give them the cert. It looks like you have to be married in HK to get help:(

Thank you all husband is to be in hong kong net week and wee will be going to see Dr doo the folowing week!!!!!! so excited .... once again thank you

hi jeye
i did my first ivf in canada and my second ivf in hong kong and i found the prices were comparable. medicine was slightly more expensive here in hk.

hope your fertility journey is SHORT and ends with a "take home baby".

I have booked Dr. C.Choy and Dr. D.Lo, anyone out there had fertility treatments with these doctors? Would you recommend them??

Thanks for your feedback!!

I've been TTC for 7 months and no sign of preg. =( I'm very depressed and I was wondering if there are any social group in HK where I could join to share my feelings?

My husband has a high sperm count but the motility is just borderline =( is that why I can't get preg? I'm not sure. I'm only 29 what should I do? Where should I go for help? should i stop trying and go straight to IUI? I'm so confused and depressed.=( I dont know where I should go for help.
