New in HK-IUI Treatment

I have recently moved to Hong Kong. I am 34 and I have 1 tube blocked.

I have already tried 4 IUIs in my home country last year without any success. I was on clomid in the last 2 cycles. My treatment obviously came to a stand still on moving here.

Thanks to so many of you, I have gathered a lot of information on fertility doctors, etc. from this forum. It is decision time for me in terms of zeroing down the doctor.

Dr. Philip Ho, Dr. Patrick Chan, Dr. Clement Chan, Dr. Milton Leung, Dr. Alex Doo, Dr. Tay are some of the most commonly referred doctors on this site. And this has got me really confused.

I need your advice on the doctor to go for?
I have no clue about the costs. So what is the cost for IUI? (considering that I have all the basic reports in place already)
Which hospital?

I would really appreciate your help on my queries.

I did 3 rounds of IUI with Clement Chan and it didn't work. When we switched to IVF, it worked the first time.
I don't have blocked tubes. But Dr. Chan said that if I did, IUI wasn't a good choice since the egg would still have to move up a fallopian tube. Whereas with IVF, they put the embryo right in the uterus, by-passing the need for the fallopian tube entirely.
Of course, IVF is much more expensive, time-consuming and physically draining -- so not a choice to be taken lightly. That said, after 4 failed cycles, I might try something else.

Dr. Chan does his in his clinic, not at a hospital. I'm not sure what your IUIs were like overseas, but here they were done without sedative / pain killer, and were no more uncomfortable than a longer-than-usual pap smear.

2500 to track my ovulation with internal ultrasounds.
2200 for two IUIs in one cycle, including sperm washing.
800 for clomid, hcg shot and prednisone.
so about 5500 for the cycle, HKD.

My IUIs were done without painkillers/sedatives in a hospital.

As far as my tube is concerned. Will you believe that during all the 4 cycles, the eggs travelled only through my functional tube? When I asked my doctor, he said that body realizes that the other tube is dysfunctional and hence doesnt even bother moving in that direction. Talk about nature and its miracles.

I think I will try Dr. Clement Chan to begin with.
