Hello Mommies !!

Can somebody recommend some good, crisp & interesting
new born baby care/ upbringing, books or cd's?

I?ve got ?The complete Johnson & Johnson book of mother & baby care? &
?What to expect when you are expecting?, which are good guides so far?.

Looking for something which has some basic day to day communication techniques/ interacting with a new born, for better, early relationship & bonding with the baby.

Being first time parents, thought will be nice to read some good material,
before the baby is on board :)

Thanks in Advance !

I really like BabySense, it`s all about learning about your baby`s use of their senses and interacting with your baby using their senses. It also has basic childcare for the first year.

I read "The Baby Book: How to Enjoy Year One" by Rachel Waddilove. I got it from Amazon. I'd describe it as "Gina Ford lite", so if the idea of some routine appeals but you dont want something as rigid as Gina, this might do the trick. I found her tone very down to earth and non-panic making, whereas the "What to Expect" books I think can make you a bit paranoid. Some other books which UK friends seem to have liked are the "Baby Whisperer" series- apparently particularly good if youre having problems with sleep (the baby, not you).

I like Baby Whisperer and also Jo Frost's Confident Baby care I found them useful and not overpowering. Personally, I really didn't like "What to expect when you're expecting" so didn't get any of the others in the series.

Thanks everyone for the inputs....
wondering if anyone is keen to pass on the books... i can read it & return it back to u !!!
