Natural Birth in Hong Kong - support group

Hello all and thanks for reading this. I am a midwife in Hong Kong and I deeply care about birth experiences of women (and fathers) and would like to do even more to support them. I have just setup a facebook group for people to share their birth experiences and to support each other to have a natural birth on Hong Kong. Also, along with a few eager mums who have had births home, we are setting up a website with the same goal.
I would like to invite and offer any one of you who may be interested to have a natural birth or to share your stories (natural birth or not, just birth stories, it is always good to learn from those) to join our group. We will be setting up regular meetings soon and would love for as many as possible to join us. Of course, anything you want to add as a reply to this post here is also welcome.
If you are interested, would you kindly reply back, either as a message or openly here. Thanks again, Hulda Thorey

Hi Hulda. How do I get on the FB group?

Also, can you clear something up for me. Until recently I thought that home births in HK were illegal, but I've heard of a few people now having them. What's the story?

Many thanks

Ah, found you. Request sent

For anyone else interested , the group is called "Natural birth in Hong Kong"

No homebirths are not illegal, they are not supported and there is very little backup available. But they can be done with the right preparation and within a certain criteria. As for me, I don?t actually encourage them, but i regularly attend to them as long as all is favorable and well prepared.
