Hi everyone,
What an excellent supportive forum. I have enjoyed reading through all the advice and support here.
This is my first post as I recently found out I'm 4 weeks pregnant. The next step however is: I have NO idea how this works and do not have anyone I can ask here yet.
Sorry for such a big and vague question but what do I do now?!
I have a meeting with my doctor this evening in Kennedy Town (the doctor was on a list of from my insurance provided through my company)
After tonight what do I need to do to get organised? How many checkups should I have throughout and for what? Do I need to be thinking about birthing options already? Public or private? I'm guessing my company will cover private as I have insurance with them? Still I don't understand how much they cover and when to even bring this up with my company?
(again sorry to sound like such an idiot with understanding health insurance - the truth is I am so rarely ill and have never claimed my health insurance before).
Any advice at all would be appreciated.
Maire.
