My 18months baby still wakes up for milk midnight

I am really frustrated at some nights as my 18 months daughter still wakes up 3am everyday for milk. Sometimes I let her cry for a bit but she will not give up and it is always me who give in and give her the milk, though just half a bottle.

What can I do?

Hi,
I have tried 'The no cry sleep solution' by Elizabeth Pantley. You can buy it from the Geobaby website. It's brilliant. There are lots of excellent suggestions for getting your child to stay asleep. It's not a quick fix solution, though as the author explains they don't really exist. Elizabeth Pantley has four children of her own, so her suggestions are common sense and tried and tested on her own children. You can develop a sleep plan to tailor to the needs of your own child, without letting them cry. I found her down to earth approach very reassuring. Good luck anf sleep will come soon.

Thanks, Jools.

The best way I have found out is to leave the baby cry for a bit until he stops himself. It has been the third night and the baby just cried a bit and went back to sleep. I feel great and things look very promising!

Make sure she is not hungry or thirsty when she goes to bed. If she wakes, just offer her water and be 'boring mummy' ie just wait whilst she has a drink, say goodnight and kiss her then go back to bed. She will grow out of it! baby number 1 (now 18) was like this!
