I am due on 13 June with my first baby and would love to meet other expectant mothers!

Expecting June

Hello ladies,
i just looked up this thread and realized I missed a lunch already. I'm due June 28th and love to meet other mom's expecting around the same time. I am working part time and have a 2.5 yrs old, but with a bit of planning should I be able to join lunch or tea.

I'm also looking for some "walking buddies" when it gets a bit warmer. I live in the Mid-levels and am planning on walking Bowen Road during the pregnancy. If anybody is interested send me a pm.

How about another Wednesday lunch either this week - Feb 19th (if enough people up for it) or next week - Feb 26th? Happy to book somewhere and equally happy to go along with someone else's idea of where to eat too! Angharad
 
Hi, Can I crash your board? I'm due 1st July so only 1 day out.....
I'd love to get to know you all but I can't make lunch tomorrow or next Wednesday as I'm in China during the week.

Hopefully I'll be able to come along next time.
 
hello ladies, i've been away for a couple of days and just got back ... i'm all up for lunch tomorrow, but just reading on this site was wondering if anyone has actually planned anything yet? If not, was thinking maybe we could do lunch this week tomorrow (19th Jan) somewhere in IFC (close to Joy's work)? Say 12:30pm again? Anyone know anywhere good / decent / easy in IFC? I'll email this msg out to everyone as well.
 
Hello ladies, just read the group email.
So as per Angharad's suggestion, lets plan for lunch tomorrow at Brivo Pizza, Pasta & Grill, 36B Staunton Street, Soho.
I will call them at 11:30am to make a booking for 12:30pm lunch - so PM me before 11:30am tomorrow if you can make it. So far from everyone that's ok'ed for lunch on this site - i have tigerprawn, happyjoy, birdtek, angharad, riley and myself. If by some chance they are unable to accomodate us, we can meet outside the restaurant and i'm sure we'll be able to find something around soho relatively easily.

Sorry ladies - can't make it this week. We have our 20 week scan later this morning - so exciting!!!!! Hopefully we get to find out the sex:) Hope to see you all next week!

Hi,

I may have a work meeting running over lunch next Wednesday so may have to miss out again. These meetings tend to get posponed a lot so hopefully that happens and I can make it! Will keep you posted.

@ littlesunshine2 - everything went well with the scan, everything seems to be normal with the bub (thankfully) and we did find out - we are having a little boy!!! Didn't think I had a preference until the doc announced it, but realised afterwards that I must have had my heart set on having a little girl, I have been feeling a little funny about it since finding out. I grew up with mostly girls in my family and I think I am just not used to having boys around which is why it seemed so natural for me to be having a girl... so I thought anyway! Of course I am thrilled nonetheless, and I can see that having a boy will definitely save on the spending - the whole baby consumer market in HK is so targeted to girls!

congrats on the boy Brooke and good to hear the scan was normal, it makes such a difference knowing the bub's gender, you start to see things differently. it seems that baby boys are clearly outnumbering baby girls so far in June :-)
