Mucus in Stool

I'm a little conserned about my 11 month olds recent bowel movements. I'm going to take him to the doctor tomorrow, but I was hoping someone could make me feel better before then.

His bowel movements have been more freqent than normal and even more conserning, the entire poop seems to be mucus (even thick clumps). Also, he has been sqeeling in pain every time he poops. He has no fever.

We seemed to have a bought of this about a month ago, it only lasted for a few days and a couple of weeks later a tooth popped out. So, I'm not 100% sure if this is teething related or not. I'm sure his teeth are still giving him a hard time (it's just that age), but I'm not sure if this is related or not.

I've read that teething can change the acidity of the saliva and the extra saliva can cause more frequent and acidic bowel movements, but I havn't found anything about mucus in stool. I did read mucus in stool can be related to irritable bowel syndrom, chrones or an intestinal blockage. I am taking him to the doctor tomorrow. Maybe I'm just being a freak, but I was hoping that everyone could reassure me that this is probably nothing (or say if they think this is something to be conserned about).

Thanks!

He's been on formula for a few months now. He drinks the hypoallogenic kind becase he is allergic to milk proteins. No new foods lately. And I'm pretty sure that we haven't inadvertently fed him something with milk protein in it.
