Moving to HK

Hi...My husband and I are moving to HK in Jan/Feb and are having trouble deciding where to live. We have 2 children..one will be 1 year and the other will be 2 1/2 years when we move. We would like someplace convenient for the kids to go to school at CDNIS, but not too far away from central.....as my husband will be working at the airport. We prefer someplace that we can go for walks with the kids and not be dying at the end from walking up steep hills...lol.....Anyone have any good suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Location suggestions...

Alot of people who work at the airport live at "The Gold Coast" or other complexes around there. There are alot of other expats there with little children, the bus to Central takes 25 minutes (freeway all the way) and many schools have buses from all over the place. Also, there is a bus directly to the airport as many pilots, engineers etc who work at the airport live out that way.

The Gold Coast has quite a lot of facilities (pool, playroom for children etc) and you can have a look different places available on gohome.com.hk.

Many expats live in mid levels on the Island, but if you were after more open spaces, the New Territories is better if you don't mind the travel.

All the best with settling in!

Hi Mellie,

If the kids are going to be at the Canadian School in Aberdeen you might want to consider Happy Valley which is very close to the Aberdeen Tunnel and 10 mins from the Causeway Bay MTR for your husband.

Another area is Pok Fu Lam, which is about 25 mins from the MTR and 20 mins from school.
