Mother's Day Lucky Draw 2007

We'll start our day in our new flat (yeah... it'll be the first morning there) and then we'll head off to church. After church, we'll join some friends for the amazing buffet lunch at Harbour Plaza Hotel and then probably head home to explore Ma On Shan a bit.. maybe a stop at the beach or a little hike. In the evening I'll call my Mom and tell her how much I love her and Monday morning we'll skype with my Mother-in-law.

Wish I could treat my mom like some of you are doing but hopefully she'll enjoy the surprise flowers that are headed her way. :)
 
I wish it would be more special, but my husband just left on a long trip this afternoon, so we had to settle for our anniversary/my birthday/Mother's Day dinner last night! It was very nice though, especially with the gifts he got me...

First thing on Mother's Day, I will open the card that the kids and their dad had prepared. Our kids are supposedly taking me out for the Mother's Day brunch, but of course it will be up to me whether I'm capable of getting them ready in time for that... There will be a phone call to my Mom, and an e-mail to my in-law (we've mailed out the cards earlier). We have no plans for the rest of the day... I'm just hoping that the kids will behave nicely and listen to me when I ask them to!
 
Cooking and Enjoying together

My father, husband and my brother in law decided to cook for the mothers this year. They are going to shop and cook. The moms are going to enjoy, even though all of us are prepared to cook together, as we do not believe that we will have proper food if we do not work together.

The kids promised a "show". Not sure what it will be, but sure that all of us will enjoy it.
 
My mother-in-law is very ill, so for the love of my husband, I won't be doing anything TOO special for my own mama. I call her every Friday, so this week there will be another sweet phone call first thing on Sunday morning her time. I've ordered some flowers for her, so hopefully the delivery person will arrive at 9 a.m. on the dot. My brother and his family are taking mama out for lunch, but I've pre-ordered mama's favorite wine for her.

When we first dated, my husband (then boyfriend) never understood why I put so much effort into making Mother's Days special... More than a decade later, he has learnt that we mothers more than deserve it and has tried to make it more special for me every year.

I have no idea what Daddy and Junior (now almost 5) have planned for me this coming Sunday, but I'm sure it will be extra special, as always...

actually my daughters Grandmother is also in town, so for mother's day we will have a lovely picnic at the beach with all of them.]

Hopefully the weather will be nice!

This year I'm not just celebrating Mother's day for my mom, but I'm celebrating with her ! As a first time mom, this Sunday would be extra special and memorable to celebrate as I feel that now I can fully comprehend what joy motherhood brings. We plan to have a big family gathering, lots of singing and dancing, food and drinks to spread this joy to everyone - it's really a special occassion...oooo i can feel the excitement already !!!!
 
Gosh, this sounds selfish but actually my husband and I hired a nanny and will be going out for a late dinner together alone. We don't have a helper so time together is rare. But we'll spend the day with our baby and won't leave till after he goes to sleep for the night :-)
 
i am inviting some neighborhood kids (along with my daughter) to make a mother's day card for their moms. on mother's day, we will have friends over for dinner.
 
We are going to Disneyland for the weekend as its my birthday as well as mothers day....we are all very excited as its our first time to Hong Kong Disneyland.:banana:
 
here is what i'm hoping .... a relaxing lunch at a beachside restaurant, followed by water play at the clubhouse pool as a family in the late afternoon. hubbie to feed, bathe and put baby to bed in the evening. not much.
 
Our Plan for Mother's Day 2007

The coming mother's day, all the mothers of the family of my husband and me will go to the beach (Shek O) with the children and husbands of all mothers. Then, we will go for dinner in Kowloon City.:woman :woman :woman :woman :woman
 
My first Mother's Day

My Mother's day already began in a funny way. My husband thought that he had already missed it. Last night he gave me a beautiful card and a breakfast in bed "coupon" for this Sunday.

Our sons first birthday is Monday (yes he was born on Mother's Day!) so I will also bake a cake.
 
After four years, I still only want the same thing. . . MORE SLEEP!!!! I didn't get it last year, so hoping I can get it this year.
 
I'm going back to teaching in 2 weeks so I'll be writing school reports to try to get them out of the way before then! We celebrated the UK Mother's Day back in March when my baby boy was only a couple of weeks old. He gave me a huge card and we went out for lunch!
 
We will go to church in the morning, come home and have something for lunch. (Hopefully dh will prepare it.) Take naps, and then in the evening go to dh's grandmother's place for dinner. Nothing too out of the ordinary for a Sunday, but nice to spend the day relaxing and being with my family.
