Mother's Day Lucky Draw 2006

My daughter is 10 months now, and yes, I am sure the feeling is quite different for me on mother's day this year. If she behaves, we plan to go to the beach and have a simple picnic... if weather permits!

This will be my first Mother's Day. My daughter Dulcie just turned 4 months old last week. I still find it hard to believe I'm a mother now! And it sounded so strange to say "my daughter" this evening! That truly made being a mother feel even more real. I never thought I'd love being a mom so much, but it's awesome.

I will be spending Mother's Day with Dulcie and weather permitting, we will watch my friend compete in her horseshow which should be really fun. My boyfriend will be working. He always has to work on weekends and holidays which is a bit of a bummer.

Happy Mother's Day to all of you!

We three are going out for a nice Sunday Brunch. I'm hoping to get a nice gift from my husband, hopefully not a washing machine to replace the one that just went kaput on us... ;)

In the afternoon, my girlfriends and I are hoping to go for a 2-hour private Lingerie party! We are all stay-at-home moms, so this should be fun and exciting.

Happy Mother's Day, Everyone.

My first mom's day as a mother, we had originally planned a trip with my husband to singapore (just the two of us), not even realizing that it would be our first mother's day with our 7mth old.
so we changed plans and would be going a few weeks later. we'll do the local routine, lunches and dinner with grandparents and extended family. my aunt already has a 11am (!!) booking for lunch (craziest day of the year at restaurants huh), and if weather permits, will take the baby to her first swimming pool experience. and then we'll be having dinners with hubbie's extended family.
Happy Mother's Day all!!

I plan on my 1 year old sleeping in until at least 9am and my darling husband serving me breakfast in bed followed by a beautiful present from Dior or Gucci (or both) and then an afternoon curled up on the couch with a good book/DVD, then dinner that evening at Felix.

Of course none of those things will actually happen but I can dream!!

I will be having a Mother's Day Party with a couple of my friends and our families. It is not only a celebration for Mother's Day, but also an opportunity for all of us to catch up and to share (and have a great laugh about) stories on bringing up our kids!

calling the grandmas and aunties and enjoying my kids - hopefully on the beach on a day like today!!!!!! After a huge decadent breakfast of pancakes!

Yipeeeee

My husband has invited my mother particularly for the occasion. He not only made sure she came in time for the Mother's Day - but it was actually perfect timing, since she also participated at my son's birthday and even caught the celebrations of my husband's b-day. Also to mark the occasion, which is made even sweeter since neither in his nor in my cultures we do celebrate this day, he arranged that my newlywed and recently pregnant favourite cousine with her young husband make it to HK on the 10th of May. They will spend a good fortnight with us. Happy Mother's Day.

This is also my first Mother's Day and my son just turned 6 months. We will be having lunch with my in-laws and my hubby will be taking me out for dinner. Don't know where yet as he wants to keep it a surprise!! Can't wait.

Happy Mother's Day everyone!

My daughter is 7 months old this week, so this will be my first Mother's Day. I'm not sure what we will do as my husband will be out of town, so it will just be baby and me - awwwwwww! I think I'd like to take her swimming and then maybe rent a movie when she has gone to bed?!

Hope I can still enter the lucky draw even if I am not doing anything terribly exciting?!

Last year I did not even remember about mother's day. Then my husband sms me:" Happy mommy's day", luv from your daughter.I cried the second after that...I was so happy with that pleasant surprise considering my husband never send me any greeting for all occasion...That was a lovely surprise. If this year I am able to do nice Spa from Se Spa, that would be my second lovely surprise...isn't it great to be mom? Have a wonderful Mother's day, Mommy's!

Mother's Day Plans

This Mother's Day Sunday I will snuggle in bed with my kids until it's time for me to go to a lazy Mom's only brunch with my mother and sisters.

I'm hoping that my husband will remember. I know my son will, but he's had help from his kindergarten teacher! We'll probably relax at the boat club and have a lovely meal. I still can't get used to the fact that I'm now the mum!

On our wedding anniversary this year my then 2 month old was admitted into hospital with the first of three gastro bugs (she's now 5 months and is still having chronic diarhea, blood in her stools and gross reflux attacks). Later the same month, on my mother's birthday our three year old was admitted to hospital with pneumonia. While visiting her, our youngest caught rotavirus and had to go back into hospital. Therefore, I'm too scared to celebrate Mother's Day but my hope is that we'll spend Sunday at home as a family, not camping in a hospital!

Sorry Delia, you need to share your plans with us.

Thanks folks for participating!
Only 24 hrs left! Results will be posted on Sun 14

First Mothers Day yipppppeeee,

This one will be a quiet one for sure. My 10mth old has just got a gastro bug so the last couple of days have been vomiting and diarrea.

If Sunday would bring me a vomit free day and clear blue skys I'd be very very very happy.

Heres to wishing everyone a wonderful mothers day and many more to come :bfeeding :baby: :bighug

Not be able to be with my mum in Hong Kong for mothering sunday

I am a mum of two, 4 and 6. We are based in UK and go to HK most school holidays to see mum and dad/ grandparent. Last month, my dad had his second stroke, he was pretty illed and lost his abilities to talk and walk. It was very hard for my mum and me, as I am the only child and she is living alone. My two were fab, they did a lot of waiting around the wards at the hospital. I am coming back to spend a bit more time with my mum and dad on my own. It would be great if I can share the spa day with my mum(end of may), just to give her some relaxing time.

My son Sasha will be 1 next week so it's his second mother day in real but last years I was sooooo exhausted that I just had a bunch of flowers from my mother (hubby forgot!);-)

My 2006 mother's day plans are:

7:00 Wake up by hungry baby but to celebrate the day, no way that I get up for "it" !!! Hubby turn !!
8:30 husband is leaving for singapour for 1 week (bouhou, that's not a nice present!) and then...
11:00 I plan to take my baby to the beach
12:00 Lunch at the beach (probably ShekO) me a sandwich with french fries in front of the sea and Sasha some spinach if the owner of the place is kind enough to heat it for him ;-)
3pm It's 9am in France, time to wake up my mum with a nice telephone ring. Normally she should receive the flowers during the morning.
4pm As we eat snack, it's time for mosquitoes also to eat so we'll quickly leave
7pm 3B's time: Bath-Bottle-Bed
... Time for mummy to have her mother's day evening: A bath, a glass of wine, a pizza for Pizzeria Italia and a girlie DVD (I havent deceided between Julia Roberts, Meg Ryan or Gwylneth Paltrow !)

Take care, all of you !
Alexandra
