Mothercare VIP card anybody?

Hi, we are planning to purchase a pretty expensive stroller for our son at Mothercare. Would be glad if anybody could share his VIP card with us, because it would give us a 10 percent discount. All we would need is your card number and name.

This is not a scam. We could provide you with any kind of information on us (name, address, etc.).

I know if you have an Amex card you can get 30% off their retail prices. I know this as I bought some vests for both my children about 1 month ago. There is an ad in front of the cashier mentioning this.

I thought they needed you to present the card. You can get a card by spending 3k which is prob less than the stroller? Or try hanging out in the shop for a bit and ask some other customers there.

Actually, we bought an expensive stroller at Mothercare too (the Orbit) - it came in pieces - so we paid for the stroller base which came with the car seat and then we paid for the toddler seat and also the bassinet. If you get a stroller like ours that comes in pieces, you can make one of the pieces that costs just over $3000 your first purchase and get the VIP membership and then get a discount on the rest of the stroller as a different purchase (i.e. on a different invoice). That way, you also get the discount card - which will definitely be useful in the future since Mothercare has a lot of good baby things to buy.

Baffelly is right - you need to present the card at the shop. You can only give the number if you are the person owning the card - they will check your ID.
