mother and baby group near Kowloon Tong?

I have a 4 1/2 month old baby and would like to meet other parents with babies in the Kowloon area (preferably Kowloon Tong). The only parent and baby group I have heard of is at The Matilda Hospital, does anyone know of anything closer to home?
 
Try the USRC at Jordan (there's a link somewhere on this site) - Tues/Fri at 9.30am. Friendly moms and a big area for the kids to play.

I called the URSC up and they said i have to be referred by someone who already goes.

Can anyone refer me?

Did you speak to the club reception or the actual playgroup organisers? I only ask this as I phoned the lady in charge of the group (her name and personal phone number are on their website) and no meniton of a referree was made; instead there is a different fee for members and non-members. Maybe give her a call, she was very friendly. I've not been along to the group yet as it coincides with my son's sleep time, but I hope to go in the future.

Thanks for letting me know. I called them again and they faxed me all the info and said i could just go along...no mention of a referee this time????

Do they only accept mothers.

I'm interested to let my daughter (now close to 2yrs) to join the USRC play time. But would they welcome children brought by maids? My is matured and well-behaved. Please advice. And if so, could any of you email me @ [email protected] so I could arrange for a time for my daughter to go with any of you, if that's poss? She's free Mon, Wed and Fri.

I started this thread some time ago now, so my son is no longer a baby (nearly 3 years now) & we have moved away from Yau Yat Cheung!

I've just started looking info from this website and seen your messages. Actually, I've come up the same question. I've found that there aren't not many playgroup in Kowloon side. Have you ended up tried any of these recommended by other mums? Btw, I am currently living in Kowloon Tong. Do you know any Kowloon Tong's playgoup organized by mums themselves?

Sorry Rosie I can't really help you, I no longer live in Kowloon Tong, and my boy is now 4 1/2 years old! The thread is quite an old one! Good luck in your search,

I live in Ma On Shan, and I plan to attend the Annerley Midwives Mum and Baby group on Tuesday at 10am -12 Noon in 20 Lyndhurst Terrace in Central (just opp Pizza Express). It's $150 a time and they have courses, baby massage sessions, or just morning tea catch ups. Everyone in the antinatal classes I have met and the midwives that run the groups are very nice. But of course if there is a closer group or if you would like to meet up separately that would be great too. Let me know, [email protected] My baby is still waiting to arrive...any day now!

I am only expecting my baby in May but I would also be very much interested to know there's any play group in Kowloon Tong area. (for my future ref)

If anyone has any info, pls let us know... :thanks
