I have some bags of frozen milk that I froze several weeks ago. Today I went back to work, and as my helper is not here yet, my hubby took 2 weeks to take care of the baby.
He defrosted some bags of milk, and said that they were bad.... So didn't know what went wrong, as I usually freeze the milk as soon as I express it (Although there was a time that I kept the milk on the fridge just in case, and froze it on the next time if I didn't need it that day).....
Anyway, I don't have many bags of milk, and don't know if they are all rancid... But I was planning to express at work so my baby could still have breastmilk during the day when I am gone. I searched on the web, and it seems that it happens when there is too much lipase on the milk, and scalding might be a solution.... but the problem is that if I pump at work, by the time I get home the milk might have already gone sour.
... any idea? or should I better start buying formula???
