Milk Intolerance and Sleeping through the night

I once read some discussions in this forum about some babies could not sleep through the night because of milk intolerance. I didn't pay attention until last night, my 15-months son suddenly slept through the whole night (9 hours!). The only reason I can think of is that he didn't drink milk (which he usually does) before going to bed.

Does anyone know about the discussion before? Are there any medical evidence I can take a look at?

Yes. Similar here.

My son was intolerable to goat milk, (being animal fat) too complex for him to digest. A consultant ask me to replace goat milk with rice milk. Within days, his digestion was better. He poos poos everyday instead of once every 3 days. He sleeps better.

Indigestion means the body is working overtime ie during sleep to try to digest complex food. As the body is working, it cannot rest properly hence the poor quality sleep. Overeating also creates similar effect.

My son was allergic to milk (would get sick to his stomach if he had any) so he would drink Soy milk instead. My doctor told me to be sure that if he drank Soy milk to make sure it is fortified with Vitamins so he would get as many nutrients as he would from Whole Milk. In the States the brand we used was Silk Soy Milk but here that is really expensive so I am still looking for one with all the nutrients needed.

my son developed an aversion to milk after we took him to the US and found that Enfapro wasn't available there. That was when he was 1.5 years old. He is 2.5 years old now and my paedia just reminded me to make sure he gets a balanced diet (fortunately he is eating regular meals now) and give him yoghurt, yoghurt drinks for his calcium requirements.
On days when he becomes fussy with eating, i wish he is still drinking milk so that at least i am assured he is getting the required daily nutrient. but can't really force him. he refuses to drink cow's milk as well (even tried the chocolate flavor ones)
